Upcoming Dates:
We have some fun things coming up. Please put these dates on your calendar:
·         Mom's Night Out – TBA
The MNO event scheduled for November 19th was canceled due to lack of people being available. We will try to reschedule soon.

Upcoming Meetings:

TODAY: December 14th-the only meeting in December, as we break for Christmas. Come enjoy some special music, some extra time to chat, great company, and of course great food. We will be singing some Christmas carols together and the music of our own Kim Souther.
No More Meetings in December

First meeting in January:
January 11, 2011

Feel free to bring in any things on the wish list (next column) into the new year.,,

MOPS Wish List:
Just so you know, we are in need of a few things. Our MOPPETTS needs are growing, as MOPS grows. We may need to split a room, which means we need more toys. Like many organizations & people in these tough economic times, our budget is lower this year. Due to community need, we’ve given extra scholarships, which we are happy to do, but that action decreases our budget in a significant way. If you are able to help us out, the following things would be appreciated:
·          Large plastic tote (need 2) for MOPPETTES toys
·          A gently used toddler toy
·          $20 (amount paid 1 moppet worker one wk)
·          1 pack of printer/copy paper
·          I’ll help set up and tear down things for the MOPPETTS at regular meetings
·          I’ll help clean up after meetings
·          I’ll help set up before meetings
·          I'll help at the Randy Peterson Concert Fundraiser April 16th
·          I'll help at the MOPS rummage sale Fundraiser on May 21st
·          I’d be interested in serving on the Steering Team in the future

Tahna's Famous Oven French Toast

·         2 TAB light corn syrup
·          ½ cup butter
·          1 cup packed brown sugar
·         12 slices bread (no crust)
·         5 eggs
·         1 ½ cups milk
·          1 TAB vanilla
·         ¼ tsp salt
Combine corn syrup, butter and sugar in saucepan; simmer until syrup-like. Pour mixture over bottom of a 9x13-inch pan.
Bread slices are placed over syrup. Layer as needed (should make 2 layers). Beat together the eggs, milk, vanilla and salt. Pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350* for 45 minutes. Cut into squares. Invert and serve.
Note: Put on serving tray after cutting.
*** I used English Muffin Toast and 6 tablespoons of butter rather that 1/2 cup.  Enjoy!
